Department of Computer Science

The Department of Computer Science and Engineering offers B.Tech, M.Tech and PhD. The Department has been accredited by NAAC & IET. Internet and Wi-Fi facilities are provided for both faculty and students. Well qualified & experienced faculty form the backbone of the department. Special Interest Groups (SIG) in the department carry out research activities in various fields like Software Defined Communication and Networking, Soft Computing, Biometrics and Bioinformatics, Data Mining, Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning, Digital Image Processing, Security, Privacy and Trust Computing, Smart Sensor Networks, IOT and Cloud Computing, Smart Communication Society, Cyber Physical Systems, Service Oriented Architecture & Web service, Natural Language Processing and Regional Language Computing.

About the Workshop

Big data analytics helps organizations harness their data and use it to identify new opportunities. That, in turn, leads to smarter business moves, more efficient operations, higher profits and happier customers. Big data technologies such as Hadoop and cloud-based analytics bring significant cost advantages when it comes to storing large amounts of data – plus they can identify more efficient ways of doing business. With the speed of Hadoop and in-memory analytics, combined with the ability to analyze new sources of data, businesses are able to analyze information immediately – and make decisions based on what they’ve learned. This workshop aims to give hands-on session for the faculty members who in turn will train their students in big data analytics tools.
